Mayabeque, Cuba: The contribution of women to the production of cigars in Mayabeque is decisive to promote compliance with economic plans and contribute to export programs.

The largest volume of cigars that is generated in this Cuban territory passes through their hands. Behind each work there are the experiences of many of those who are involved in the elaboration of the final product.

Leticia Amore is the largest tobacco producer at the Juan Martínez Carballea Factory, located in the municipality of Güines.

The head of production, Maritza Carulo Hernández, speaks of the results in this entity where mostly women work.

From the area where they determine compliance with the parameters to sell tobacco, María Regla Cairo assumes this task with responsibility.

Yipsi Cordero Curvelo exceeds the production of 100 cigars a day at the Juan Martínez Carballea Factory, in Güines.

Other women, along with Nancy Espino, make cigars for export.
