Mayabeque, Cuba: The direction of the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences (INCA), located in San José de las Lajas, capital of Mayabeque, summons researchers, specialists and university students to participate in the First National Workshop on “Sustainability and Resilience of the Cuban agricultural systems ?, to be held virtually on December 15, 2021.

This contest co-sponsored by the Local Agricultural Innovation Project (PIAL), the Mycorrhiza Network and the Local Agricultural Innovation System (SIAL) favors the exchange of experiences from various nations of the world and promotes the main results on the subject.

The general objective of the event is to know how much the sustainability of Cuban agricultural systems contributes; therefore, the topics to be addressed are related to plant breeding and biotechnology, plant eco-physiology, bio-stimulants and bio-fertilizers in agriculture, agro-ecology as the basis of agricultural systems and Local Agricultural innovation.

For the first time, this Workshop on Sustainability and Resilience of Cuban Agricultural Systems takes place, an opportunity to discuss the challenges that Cuba faces as a country vulnerable to climate change.
