Washington: The United States is speeding up its business linked to the crisis in Ukraine, the press commented today when reporting on Pentagon plans that would involve Poland, Prensa Latina publishes.

Disregarding warnings from Russia that it would respond to any involvement of other European nations in the crisis, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Washington is considering sending warplanes to Poland if Poland delivers warships to Ukraine.

Quoted by the Military Times online publication, Blinken spoke of the possibility of sending such aircraft to Warsaw, in case the Polish authorities decide to supply Ukraine with such Soviet-era aircraft.

Those remarks came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for more planes – especially those that can be flown by their pilots – and a no-fly zone.

Blinken made his comments during a stop in Europe to reassure allies about US support following the Russian military operation in Ukraine, according to the Wall Street Journal.

However, the day before the US plans encountered a stumbling block when the office of the Polish Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, dismissed the information that pointed to an agreement to provide Ukraine with combat aircraft, according to the media itself, and described them as false news.

Poland flies MiG-29 fighter jets that were produced by the Soviet Union in the late 1970s, along with US F-16 aircraft from the Lockheed Martin Corp, reports cited by Military Times mentioned.

The publication, which serves the US defense community and industry sectors, noted that the deal would see Poland donate its old Russian MiG fighters to Ukraine and purchase US F-16s to replace them.

“We are working with the Poles on this matter and consulting with the rest of our NATO allies,” a White House spokesman told NBC.

“We are also working on the capabilities that we could provide to supply Poland if it decides to transfer planes to Ukraine,” he added.

Efforts to send arms and other supplies to nationalist and neo-Nazi groups in Ukraine come as the US Congress is working on a $10 billion “military and humanitarian aid” package that will favor merchants in the complex. industrial military.
