Radio Reloj reports that the increase was recorded after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to accept payment for the supply of Russian natural gas to Europe only in rubles.
It makes no sense to supply our products to the European Union and the United States and charge in dollars and euros, the Russian president declared during a meeting with members of his government.
Putin stressed that it is about abandoning the use of all compromised currencies, since in recent weeks, several Western countries have made illegitimate decisions to freeze Russian assets, and both Washington and the European bloc have failed to fulfill their obligations to Russia.
