Mayabeque, Cuba: 25 health professionals of Mayabeque that fought for three months against COVID-19 in Mexico, one of the most affected countries in the region, were received yesterday in the Provincial Directorate of Public Health.
The team made up of a doctor specialized in comprehensive general medicine and the rest of the personnel trained in nursing both in the intensive care area and in general nursing confirmed the solidarity of the Cuban people in the Aztec nation.
The words of welcome were given by the Chief of the Medical Collaboration Section, Anais Santos, who conveyed to the collaborators the recognition and gratitude for the work carried out in the Mexican territory. As part of the reception they gave flowers and a present to these brave men and women.
In their municipalities of residence, Jaruco, Güines, Batabanó, San José de Las Lajas, Quivicán, Santa Cruz del Norte, San Nicolás and Madruga, their relatives, friends, neighbors and colleagues also waited for them, with expressions of gratitude and pride before the satisfaction of the duty accomplished.
