Mayabeque, Cuba: The Casa de la Décima of Mayabeque received a few hours ago the Neighborhood Prize (Premio del Barrio in Spanish), distinction granted by the national leadership of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR by its Spanish initials) to individuals, groups and families who with their work and example demonstrate the unity of the Revolution.
At the headquarters of the cultural institution, its director Lázaro Palenzuela received the recognition from the hands of the Provincial Coordinator of the largest mass organization in the country, Yunior Romero Rizo, who on behalf of the National Coordinator congratulated the cultural entitie.
Lázaro Palenzuela thanked all those who in one way or another made this achievement possible and highlighted the love with which he receives the award and his confidence in the future of the decimal campesina who reborn as the phoenix after spending years marginalized.
During the ceremony they also recognized with the medal For the Defense of the Homeland and the unity of the neighborhood and the distinction September 28 to members of the CDR in Mayabeque for their livelihood, dedication to the organization and accumulated merits.
Also on the occasion of commemorating the 60th anniversary of the CDR, for the joint work carried out, the provincial committees of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Young Communists League, the Cuban Women Federation, the Cuban Workers Federation, the National Association of Small Farmers, as well as the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the provincial directorates of Education and Health and the Mayabeque government recognized the organization.
The event was chaired by the Member of the Central Committee of the Party and its First Secretary in Mayabeque, Yanina de la Nuez Aclich, the deputy to the National Assembly and Governor of the province, Tamara Valido Benitez, the provincial Coordinator of the CDR, Yunior Romero Rizo, the first secretary of the municipal committee of the party in Güines, Aniurka Mazorra Yero and the president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in the municipality, José Ariel Cantero Barreto, among other cadres and leaders of the demarcation.
