Mayabeque, Cuba: The Minister President of the Central Bank of Cuba, Marta Wilson González and the Minister of Finance and Prices, Meisi Bolaños Weiss, appeared this Thursday at the Round Table Program of the Cuban television to report on the implementation in their agencies of the actions of the Economic Strategy -Social of the country before the world economic crisis.
Wilson González argued that throughout the pandemic stage the banks have carried out their work under the regulations directed by the Ministry of Public Health, which is why a group of measures were adopted to respond to the current moments.
The banking institutions remain open and have adjusted their hours depending on the decisions that have been adopted in the Defense Councils of each province.
Based on the impact of the pandemic on the world economy and ours, adjustments were made to the national budget, mainly in aspects related to social life, the Minister of Finance and Prices, Meisi Bolaños Weiss, said.
The decisions essentially favored vulnerable people, pregnant women, children and the elderly in line with the country’s humanitarian policy.
