The prestige of Cuban medicine is growing and Mayabeque’s contribution counts. Professionals from the sector are part of the Henry Reeve Contingent, whose humanistic and supportive work is recognized by the world.
Together with doctors and nurses from other territories, the health collaborators from our province came out this time to face Covid-19 where the generous hand of the Revolution was necessary. They fought death and saved lives, brought hope and health in a truly altruistic action and are victims of a reinforced campaign to discredit their feat that can only be promoted by the North American empire.
In a pandemic and tragic year for humanity, Cuba helps and saves. The United States shows its claws and its utter contempt for human life. Meanwhile the contingent won in appreciation for their Nobel Prize, a grateful acknowledgment for these angels of the soul.
Cuba has faced the pandemic almost from its beginning in 39 countries, 22 in the Americas, with 52 medical brigades and in 58 nations it supports with more than 28 thousand collaborators defending the right to life.
In relation to the Nobel Prize, they may not receive it knowing the history, sometimes embarrassing of that distinction, but their work of peace and love is in all the nations benefited with the services paid, in the smile of the cured and in the applause of millions.
It does not matter that in the midst of the health and economic crisis the aggressive and arrogant actions of the United States intensify, the Cubans’ vocation to win is reaffirmed in each challenge because no one can stop us.
The prestige of Cuban revolutionary medicine grows and the contribution of the Mayan people grows.
