Mayabeque, Cuba: With 74 percent of students approved, the Capitan San Luis Urban High School in Jaruco closed the entrance exams to Higher Education in the 2019-2020 school year.
Of the 87 students presented, 65 passed the tests, which was described as a more favorable result compared to the last school term, when only 25 percent passed, the report from the Municipal Education Office states.
Mathematics was the subject that hit the university applicants from Jaruco the most with 46 failures, followed by History of Cuba, with 25.
Spanish remains with quality results, with more than 90 percent pass.
The online reviews through WhatsApp groups and the effective use of the Telegram application, in the midst of the quarantine caused by the coronavirus pandemic, contributed to these results, said the educational group of the educational institution.
The students’ face-to-face participation was also greater in the reviews carried out in the months of September and October, the officials of Education highlighted.
