Mayabeque, Cuba: The province of Mayabeque is getting ready for the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, taking into account curricular adaptations in different subjects.
According to the director of the sector in this province, María Daily Guerra Moré, during the month of October the teaching structures were methodologically prepared based on the new changes as the duration of the school period is shortened.
She specified that with the study carried out there are subjects and contents that will have a greater number of frequencies and hours of classes, in addition to other subjects that are going to decrease, which makes it possible that the curricular adaptation does not have any of the risks regarding the contents that must be achievedd, which are mandatory in the grades and educational levels.
In this way, teachers participate in the methodological preparation according to the pertinent readjustments and the updating of study programs.
“The methodological activities are of mutual learning, moments of reflection as far as we could suggest both to the ministry but also within the work system itself”, Guerra Moré added.
She recalled that schools are the ones that have the closest approach to content, learning and hence the importance of listening to the base to model a new different school year but with the guarantee that there really is learning that allows promoting all students with the necessary content.
