Mayabeque, Cuba: The presence of animals on the road has caused some 24 accidents in Mayabeque with a balance of 18 injured.
This situation has generated the development of different actions aimed at eliminating the problem, according to the head of the Provincial Department of the Livestock Registry, engineer Vladimir Medina Castañeda.
To date, they have seized 57 animals and have 27 more in the Deposit Corral, in addition, 122 fines were applied by Decree Law 225 in its subsection M.
The preventive function is vital where an animal exists and must remain in custody.
“The owners have to be responsible and in case of incurring in this fault the property is taken away from them,” Medina Castañeda explained
