Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque promotes export and import substitution as a priority to increase economic results.
“There are very important entities in the territory, such as: rum companies and tobacco, which maintain their compliance”, the director of Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and International Cooperation in the provincial Government, Argelio González Ramas commented.
In the demarcation they favor the production of articles, which substitutes the purchase of products at high costs in the foreign market.
“The exportable items are: 34 in goods and 10 in services, a figure higher than last year” González Ramas added.
The purpose is to capture foreign exchange earnings for the national economy, while this attracts foreign investment in Cuba.
