Mayabeque, Cuba: As part of the country’s political will to face and overcome the Covid-19 crisis in Güines, they execute a health strategy to ensure the protection of the health of the population and especially vulnerable groups.
For this, it takes into account the timely home isolation of some 30 homes in Defense Council number 2 where they locate one of the largest foci given the high spread of the disease in this territory.
According to the president of the defense zone number 2, María del Carmen Camejo, around 100 residents receive personalized attention there by applying mobility restrictions and greater control.
María del Carmen Camejo added that as part of the actions they visit vulnerable people: bedridden elderly and those under 18 years of age. They also offer basic necessities.
The defense zone is made up of the Health sectors, the Ministry of the Interior, the Cuban Women Federation, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, Social Workers and Commerce.
