Silage plant inaugurated in Derivados Mayabeque.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The start-up of a silage plant in the Base Business Unit Derivados Mayabeque reduces the purchase of animal feed in the foreign market by obtaining high-quality nutrient for the adequate maintenance of the herd.

With a machinery park improved by innovators, they use stillage, honey and viands to manufacture the final product.

After collecting equipment in various territories of the province that were in disrepair due to technological obsolescence, they installed the plant that produces more than 10 tons per day.

They also process corn, soybeans, and protein plants like tithonia, mulberry, and moringa.

The main destination of its productions is marketing to cooperatives.

Through the production chain they guarantee animal feed and receive pigs in exchange to obtain derived products at the processing center.
