Mayabeque, Cuba: The Caciques de Mayabeque lost with Pinar del Río one goal to zero, after their last presentation corresponding to the National Football Opening League.
The duel took place on the field of the Nelson Fernández Sports Voluntary Complex, in San José de las Lajas, which was fought from start to finish and the people of Pinar del Río took the best part.
Those led by Héctor Pedroso are located in penultimate place in group A with only four points, results of one win, one draw and five consecutive losses, six goals for and 16 against.
Mayabeque tied without goals with Matanzas, beat Villa Clara one-nil and lost to Havana, Artemisa, Cienfuegos, La Isla and now to Pinar del Río.
In other results of the soccer day, Havana conceded its second consecutive defeat by falling two to zero against Matanzas.
Cienfuegos beat Isla de la Juventud three over one, which helped the Mariners to move the capitals to third place, now with 13 points, 11 goals for and six against, by 14 units from the southerners.
The leadership of group A is still held by Artemisa, who beat Villa Clara four to two and has 19 points. Havana will have time to make the necessary adjustments before facing the Pinar del Río team on the eighth date as a visitor.
Next weekend there will be a FIFA date and it will not be played in the domestic championship.
