Mayabeque, Cuba: The poet and writer Nuris Quintero Cuellar and the composer Jorge del Valle, both from Mayabeque, were selected as members of the Technical Advisory Council of the Provincial Directorate of Culture.
According to the communicator Alejandra Santiesteban, these artists living in the municipality of Quivicán stand out for their talent and creativity in the sector.
Composer Jorge del Valle, stands out for the quality of his lyrics in Cuban song and currently chairs the Association of Musicians of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) in the southern territory, while Nuris Quintero is one of the notable voices of literature in the territory.
Quintero has published the books “Tocada sin manos” and “Mujer y no santa”, she has several literary awards and her works are included in anthologies inside and outside Cuba.
Also the poet, who works as teacher of generations, was approved as a member of the Montecallado Publishing House, belonging to the province.
