Moscow: The Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigú, highlighted today that his country cooperates in the technical-military sphere with Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela, three countries facing threats of the use of force.

In the case of Venezuela, the Foreign Minister of his country, Jorge Arreaza, highlighted the day before at a press conference in this capital the strengthening of ties with Russia in the field of technical-military collaboration.

During the exchange with the press, the head of Russian diplomacy, Sergei Lavrov, reported that both countries are continuing negotiations on the supplies of new batches of weapons to Caracas and assured that Moscow is willing to continue helping Venezuela in improving its defensive capacity.

“We continue to negotiate the supplies of new batches of weapons based on the needs of the Armed Forces and the security forces of our Venezuelan friends,” he commented.
