Today, when our country faces one of the most lethal virus in the history of humanity and the health system mobilizes to help in every corner, whether inside or outside the national territory, it does us more harm than never blocking.
This embargo has denied for more than six decades the right to acquire technologies, raw materials, reagents, diagnostic means, medicines and other elements for a better functioning of the national health system, which have to be obtained in geographically distant markets or through from a third country with an increase in costs.
During the months of the pandemic, this policy intensifies in an unprecedented way, causing higher expenses and threatening a greater loss of human life due to COVID-19 infections.
However, the blockade brings out the best in all Cubans, above all, those who daily get up in search of a solution so that our population feels more confident in the current situation.
This is demonstrated by the five vaccine candidates and Abdala that with a 92. 28 percent efficiency, it becomes the fourth vaccine with the best guarantee of cure globally.
The truth, despite being unjust, separating families, imposing sanctions and being cruel, the blockade has not been able in 60 years with a nation that grows with adversity that seeks the well-being of its citizens by all means, because they are the ones who suffer this cruel embargo.
The Cuban people demand an end to this injustice and the international community, aware of what is happening, supports a nation that advocates for its sovereignty and fair and equal trade.
We inhabitants of Mayabeque say No more Blockade!
