Mayabeque, Cuba: The workers of the Mártires de Granada Urban Pre-University Institute (IPU by its Spanish initials) of Batabanó, today show a special interest in diversifying crops with the only objective of contributing their grain of sand in the production of food in areas of land that are barely used in the school.
The professor of Preparation for the Defense of this educational establishment, Sergio Oliva Díaz, highlighted that they carry out several tasks such as cleaning the area, the reestablishment of intensive orchards and others.
The creation and maintenance of medicinal and fruit orchards is not only a priority for the rural sector in Batabanó but also for the educational centers of the municipality.
The disposition and commitment of the group of teachers of the IPU is today a fact to undertaking into tasks related to food production.
