Mayabeque, Cuba: Jaruco will be represented by three male voices at the Provincial Bolero Festival, Mario Oropesa, which in this edition will be held virtually as part of the preventive measures to avoid contagion by Covid-19.
On this occasion the singers Marbelio Royo, from the main town, Albertico Martínez, from Caraballo, and Silvino Pérez, from Bainoa, will be the ones who will send their amateur videos to the event in search of the sought-after musical award.
Those singers, members of the Movement of Amateur Artists in the territory, keep anthological songs of the bolero genre in their repertoire in each of their regular presentations.
As every year, the Mario Oropesa Provincial Bolero Festival is convened by the Gregorio Delgado Fernández House of Culture, from the municipality of Melena del Sur, and has the support of the Directorate of Culture in Mayabeque.
