Mayabeque, Cuba: Professionals from the Agrarian University of Havana (UNAH) Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez, from the capital of Mayabeque, are working on an international project to promote food sustainability in Cuba, from the scientific development of agriculture.
The program in the approval phase is carried out in conjunction with experts from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC), the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) and the university institution of San José de las Lajas.
The dean of the Faculty of Agronomy at UNAH leads, on the scientific side, this international project to be carried out in five provinces of the country.
The purpose is to boost productivity in order to increase the supply of products, regulate the market and boost the income of a vulnerable and necessary sphere, such as agriculture.
