Mayabeque, Cuba: The digitalization of the Office’s Consumer Registry system is one of the actions of the Ordering Task in Bejucal.

According to the specialist in Information Management of the Municipal Administration, Alejandro Cruz Hernández, the objective of the process is to computerize what refers to the Office Registry, through a web page with a national database to streamline work with the public.

“7 thousand 566 nuclei must be completed in total, of which 855 have been completed”, Cruz Hernández said.

Among the actions planned as part of this improvement of the activity is the digitization of all the information received, which can lead to a reduction in paper costs, improve data storage, allow a better viability of the process and, hence, the possibility of less waiting in a queue of people.

The Consumer Registry Offices fulfill a state function, are governed by the State Directorates of Commerce, subordinate to the Board of Directors in each territory and are charged with controlling the policies and programs designed for the protection and supply of food to the population.
