The FMC will contribute to the success of the battle against Covid-19.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The women of San José de las Lajas are preparing to support public health professionals during the massive health intervention with the vaccine candidate Abdala, a process to begin at the end of June in the capital of Mayabeque.

The general secretary of the Cuban Women Federation (FMC by its Spanish initials) in this municipality, Ana Rosa González Alfonso reported that they define details with affiliates of delegations and blocks to inform the population, summon them and ensure their attendance on planned days in order to avoid crowds and streamline the program.

Together with officials from the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), the Government, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) and the Young Communist League (UJC), the women´s organization members will also be in charge of the vaccinations and observation places provided in the territory.

The vaccine candidate Abdala will be applied to those over 19 years of age and with no age limit, and excludes people with chronic and decompensated diseases, allergic to thimerosal, pregnancy, oncological neoplastic conditions under treatment and infections that require antibiotics, among other issues.

The FMC will contribute to the success of this process that aims to mitigate the damages of Covid 19.
