Mayabeque, Cuba: A health brigade called “Los Valientes por Amor” was flagged at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Mayabeque to support the confrontation with the pandemic.
The director of Science and Technological Innovation of the province, Dr. Alejandro Lie Concepción, said that the group is made up of 24 professors and professors of this University, of them 8 doctors and 16 nursing graduates.
They will join, he explained, the health workers who assist pediatric patients admitted to the healthcare center enabled at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Mayabeque, located in the municipality of Güines.
“Los Valientes por Amor” voluntarily assumed the task amid an exponential increase in positive cases of COVID-19 in the province.
They carry out the welfare work without neglecting the students who are preparing for their state exams, Dr. Lie Concepción stressed.
