Mayabeque, Cuba: Children from the Rocillas Nuevas Workshop of repentismo of San Nicolás made an artistic presentation entitled La Juguetería de los Sueños, at the Pablo de la Torriente Brau House of Culture, in greeting to the anniversary 194th of the municipality and the start of the Culture’s Day.
The infants demonstrated to the public, literary and musical skills through artistic manifestations such as dance and theater, based on their own written narratives.
They also dedicated a space to sports and the importance of leading an active and healthy life.
Peasant music was present in the activity through the improvisations of two little repentistas.
The art of the spinel nurtures the roots of national identity and is a form of expression deeply rooted in the Cuban people.
In order to guarantee its development and continuity, the suddenness schools, called Specialized Children’s Sudden Workshops (TERI), emerged in 2000, so that the Cuban decimista tradition had a space dedicated to their teaching and learning.
