Mayabeque, Cuba: The authorities of Mayabeque highlighted the decrease in positive cases for Covid-19 and the fatality during a meeting of the Temporary Working Group to confront the new coronavirus in the province.
For this reason, as of November 1, the municipalities will advance in the gradual opening of different services, which include inter-municipal and inter-provincial transportation, as well as the resumption of the school year in different academic grades in person in general and higher education.
The Governor of the territory, Tamara Valido Benítez, emphasized that the statistics show an improvement in the context in Mayabeque, with a lower percentage of sick people admitted, suspected of being infected, and serious or critical patients.
The member of the Central Committee of the Party and First Secretary in the province, Yanina de la Nuez Aclich, told the health authorities to continue with the mass immunization process.
In this sense, the convalescent of Covid-19, who were infected with the disease between July 25 and August 31, are receiving from this week the single dose of the Soberana Plus vaccine, from the Finlay Vaccine Institute, after the two established months of having received the medical discharge.
De la Nuez Aclich ratified the importance of maintaining hygienic-sanitary measures and not losing the perception of risk to control the disease in the community and in the workplace.
