Mayabeque, Cuba: In the Jaruco Transportation Base Business Unit (UEB), the assembly of the first on-board computers will begin next Friday, devices that will allow the monitoring and control of the vehicles used for the transportation of passengers.
The Head of the Mayabeque Fleet Management and Control System, Engineer Andy Izquierdo Rodríguez, said that this contributes to daily diesel fuel savings in each bus.
He specified that in March these devices will be installed in the Bejucal and Madruga Transportation UEBs.
The goal is to complete the assembly of on-board computers in all public bus terminals and charging stations in the province.
Since 2008 and under Resolution 53/108 of the Ministry of Transport in Cuba, the Fleet Management and Control System based on the Global Satellite Navigation System was implemented.
