Mayabeque, Cuba: Save Now youth detachments, in Mayabeque, contribute to the responsible use of energy, promoting the proper use of energy carriers, in times of contingency, to help preserve the environment and sustainable development.
The purpose is, in addition, to control the expense of electricity and fulfillment of the plans in labor groups of the territory, to inspect the suitable use of the equipment and irrigation system in agriculture, in economic centers, high consumers, as well as in neighborhoods and communities.
Faced with the call of the country’s top management during the post-COVID-19 stage, to reduce the amount of energy required to provide products and services, in this province the work is aimed at achieving energy efficiency in production processes and reducing energy losses.
These groups are made up of young people from different sectors such as Education, Public Health, Sport, Commerce and others.
The young David Raúl Oviedo Dorvining, from Güines, presides over this detachment and promotes the main tasks.
