Mayabeque, Cuba: “Be better public servants and raise the legal culture of the people”, that was the call to the jurists of Mayabeque by the President of the National Board of Directors of the Union of Jurists, the Master of Science José Alexis Ginarte Gato during the Provincial Assembly prior to the Ninth Congress.

At the meeting, committees worked to discuss issues related to law, science and innovation in the service of justice; legal culture, information and communication; and the normative order.

The exchange focused on the need to increase the professional training of jurists, even more so in these times of transformations in the legislative order, and cultivate awareness of legality in the people, through appearances in the media.

The work of these professionals during the popular consultation process of the Family Code Bill and their attitude towards the disturbances that occurred on July 11 was also recognized.

In the Provincial Assembly, the Mayabeque jurists renewed the management structures of the Provincial Council and selected those who will represent Mayabeque in the Ninth Congress of the organization.

The executive delegations that had an outstanding work during the popular consultation process and the jurists Yerandy Calzadilla Dávalos and Yosvany González Madruga were also distinguished for their outstanding work in confronting crimes.

Before concluding the assembly, the Master of Science José Alexis Ginarte Gato, President of the National Union of Jurists, congratulated the union for its professionalism and dedication to daily work and signified the unconditional support of the country’s leadership to these professionals.
