Mayabeque, Cuba: The community socio-cultural project “For a world without barriers” received the “60th anniversary bat” delivered by the National Secretariat of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).
During the last 13 years the members of the group have made their main objective come true: to improve the quality of life of people with psychomotor limitations.
The presentation in the communities and the artistic value of the members of the group are arguments that support the delivery of the recognition regarding the celebration in Bejucal of the 60th anniversary of the CDR.
The provincial coordinator of the organization, Yunior Romero Rizo, handed over the symbolic baseball bat, when, coincidentally, the 60th National Ball Series is being played. Reaching 60 years of establishment is a satisfaction that we are commemorating in adverse conditions due to the presence of Covind-19, he said.
Romero Rizo added: “We will recognize the doctors who fulfilled an internationalist mission, the members of the Huracanes of Mayabeque, a team that represents us in the Cuban classic ball game and community projects with outstanding results.
The celebration will have more scope because we will use the digital space to thank the creator of the mass organization, Fidel Castro Ruz, ratify the decision to defend the Revolution, as well as collaborate in the production of food through productive work and mobilizations towards sanitation and beautification of the neighborhoods.
