Mayabeque, Cuba: Several activities make up the program presented by the Municipal Library of Batabanó to celebrate the Day of Cuban Culture, from October 10 to 20.
On the 12th in this institution the activity El mundo del ballet, dedicated to the centenary of the prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso, took place.
They also promote the book From Mayabeque I Speak (DeMayabeque te cuento) by the writer of Bejucal Omar Felipe Mauri, member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) in Mayabeque.
The library group makes tours of emblematic places of the town to the monument erected to the musician Juventino Rosa and the church of the municipality.
This Saturday 17, at 10:00 in the morning, it will be held the activity From literature to cinema, in which they will screen the cartoon Elpidio Valdés in honor of its 50 years of creation.
On Tuesday 20, at 2:00 in the afternoon, at the National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) of the municipality they will hold a literary coffee with the promotion of the book La poesía protoidiomática y lírica, by Gisela Martínez Rodríguez, under the leadership of Lázaro Silva.
