Mayabeque, Cuba: The 2020-2021 school year raised the curtain in Jaruco. Eleven primary English language teachers, recently graduated from the Pedro Albizu Campo Pedagogical Institute, in Mayabeque, joined the classrooms.
With the incorporation of the new pedagogues, the municipality completes for the first time, in more than five years, the teaching coverage in this specialty.
The José Támer Elías Polytechnic Institute also began this academic period under more favorable conditions by joining the group with an English degree, who will take on full-time teaching.
The Deputy Director of Education in Jaruco, Yudeinis Lirio Machado, said that in the remaining levels of education other specialists will teach English language classes under the contract modality.
