Mayabeque, Cuba: The workers of the Base Business Unit (UEB) Comercializadora Porcina, from the municipality of Melena del Sur, exceed their annual plan to deliver pork meat to the national balance when there are around 60 days until the end of the year.
According to the director of the entity, Yanier Artigas Martínez, of a commitment of 700 thousand 300 kilograms they contributed 80 thousand 610 to the Meat Company of the province.
The manager also commented that the main destinations are the Ministry of Food Industry to be processed and a less significant part is aimed at substituting imports in the tourism sector.
The pig program has also worked together with the ministry of agriculture to sensitize producers with the delivery of two more pigs after complying with the established contractual obligations.
In this way, the demanded product is taken to the pallets of the local markets with a price reduction that, although still high, decreased by 10 or 15 pesos, Artigas Martínez stressed.
