Mayabeque, Cuba: Several productive forms in Batabanó are getting ready for the potato harvest on February 20.
Due to the deficit of inputs, the territory planted 200 hectares less in correspondence with the previous cycle, but they managed to plant a total of 362 hectares of the important tuber.
This was ratified by the president of the Municipal Defense Council, Jesús Manuel Díaz Pérez, who in a tour of the areas verified the crop yield.
“There is a considerable amount of production and the conditions are created for the harvest on the scheduled date”, Díaz Pérez said.
Batabanó acts to guarantee the workforce, comply with the social mandate and the agreed plans.
