Bejucal commemorates the 27th anniversary of the events of August 5, 1994.

Mayabeque, Cuba: Members of the Government and other political and mass organizations in Bejucal attended the municipal ceremony in commemoration of the events of August 5, 1994.

Reaffirming the revolutionary condition and demonstrating total rejection of the destabilization attempts that occurred in Cuba in July were the main objectives of this meeting.

It was chaired by the Member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party, Eduardo Viera Matos, the First Secretary of the political organization in the municipality, Alexis Mesa Pedroso, the National Vice President of the National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, Julia Gastón, and its President in Mayabeque, Daniel Ibarra.

The appointment was also conducive to announcing the unanimous decision to condition the Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, located in the territory, for the isolation of pediatric cases positive to Covid-19.

This responds to one of the existing problems with the lack of capacities for medical-hospital care due to the high number of patients.

They purposely did a volunteer job to condition the premises.
