The agriculture board in Batabanó approves three agricultural producers the slaughter, consumption and commercialization of beef.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The agriculture board in Batabanó, after verifying compliance with the requirements, approved the slaughter, consumption and commercialization of beef to three agricultural producers.

They are the brothers Lázaro Orelvis and Manuel Gil Soto, both associated with the Cooperative of Credits and Services (CCS by its Spanish initials) Santiago Castañeda and the producer Jorge Bárcenas Lugo, belonging to the CCS April 9.

All stand out in the fulfillment of the milk delivery commitments and show high productive results in the livestock area, which is why they recognize their relevance and stimulate their efforts to produce and sell.

This was announced by the director of the entity in the territory, Daysi Guerrero Batalla, who explained that each one was authorized to sacrifice two or three cows, one for family self-consumption and the rest for sale to the population.

She added that in an extraordinary meeting of the Municipal Agrarian Commission they agreed to authorize another eight farmers who also meet the established requirements, which would add up to 11 in total for the current month.

All this is part of the actions for the implementation of the immediate measures approved by the Cuban government with the aim of boosting food production and encouraging the owners to be interested in raising cattle.
