Mayabeque, Cuba: The workers of the Southwest Batabanó port services unit guarantee the transfer of resources to the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, key to the socioeconomic development of that territory.
“We are giving priority to the sending of fertilizers for the agriculture sector. The access program on the Island is one of the prioritized tasks carried out by the country’s leadership”.
“We also include the shipment of animal feed such as poultry and pig feed due to the need they have for this input,” the entity’s chief operating officer, Ever Torres Cañamero, explains.
They also send resources to Cayo Largo del Sur and are essential to ensure the opening of tourism on November 15, he added.
In order to take advantage of the scarce coverage of vessels arriving at the port, the Caribbean fleet only has two legs to carry the goods, the workers of the unit use their hours in a useful way to operate without delays.
