Mayabeque, Cuba: The workers of the Rolando Concepción National Tobacco Factory in San Nicolás exceed the production plans, despite the adversities caused by Covid-19 and the strong blockade of the United States against the largest of the Antilles.

The group salutes the 68th anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, with the commitment to increase efficiency indicators.

According to the entity’s head of production, Esteban Luis Malagón Guerra, despite the delays due to the isolation caused by Covid-19 coupled with the shortage of supplies due to the economic siege, the tobacco producers through voluntary days and overtime achieved these results.

The workers have the support of the Bauta Factory and the municipality of Santa Cruz del Norte for the supply of raw materials.

The young twister Mario Andrés Scull Loyola, with an experience of 14 years, doubles his daily norm and is proud not only to know the secrets of a centuries-old practice in Cuba, but also to create with his own hands an essential ruble for the economy from the country.
