Mayabeque, Cuba: The Base Business Unit (UEB) of Agricultural Products Marketing in Batabanó complies with the food distribution plan to the population.

The sale points of vegetables and fruits, located in the groceries and places far from the main state markets of the territory have gained popularity as an alternative to make it easier for the locals to buy food close to their homes and avoid the agglomeration of people before the threat of Covid-19.

Reinforcing these services in Batabanó is one of the objectives of the UEB that distributes these agricultural products every Tuesday and Thursday, in addition to guaranteeing the supply of Assistance and Isolation Centers and the capital markets.

This strategy allows the fulfillment of the sale plans, the income to the agricultural entity and gives the population the satisfaction of acquiring fresh food at an affordable price.

The variety and diversity of the offers is undoubtedly a priority for all the staff that works in the UEB, when selecting the products collected by farmers and local agriculture every morning.
