Mayabeque, Cuba: High-performance table tennis athletes in Mayabeque prepare at the Development Center located in Bejucal.
The 16 members of the National Team and its partners of the province get together to carry out joint work and internal competitions.
The national team trains daily, in double sessions, with a view to national and foreign championships, when the conditions of the pandemic allow it.
Enrollment reaches 40 students, all immediate reserves of the national team. The National Commissioner Bárbaro Oliva, has Daniel Guzmán and Víctor Alexis Díaz as coaches of the elite men’s and women’s teams.
The months without the presence of athletes in the National Team headquarters facility, located in one of the buildings of the Cerro Pelado High Performance Athletes School, are used for repair.
According to Oliva, 16 training tables can be installed, which allows 32 athletes to work simultaneously.
In the event of competitions, five would be set up with their regulatory spaces and fences, all on a light blue synthetic floor, from the TISSEU brand. (IVP)
