Mayabeque, Cuba: The Mayabeque Agroforestry Company complies with the silvicolous and production plan, despite being in times of Covid-19.
With a heritage of 47 thousand 500 hectares throughout the demarcation, the entity works in the promotion of various timber species.
The workers intermingle the planting of precious woods in the producing forests that are industrial objectives, and some areas planted with round woods for commercialization and thus contribute to the economic development of the sector.
According to the entity’s coordination specialist, Walberto González, they are immersed in the production of charcoal and the making of parles to increase production rates.
Walberto added that they also incorporate the bagaes species destined for export.
